I was on my routine hiatus and did not get to comment on this. First watch it, and then read:
1. This "Second version" was made before the "first" one and never got an OK from Kanye to be released. With that said, if you think it's shitty, you were not supposed to see it.
2. Living a fast life=You coming home dropping the keys to your 6 million dollar loft in the meat packing district and thugs grab you up and possibly rape you? Nah, I call bullshit. Her life seemed pretty rad and meaningless if you ask me, but why THAT ending? Could we not think of something better as the ending for a pretty girl?
3. Kanye, will you please stop spending so much time making videos for one particular single and maybe work on some OFFICIAL releases for another track off the album? Maybe an "I Wonder" official video? Nah, don't even touch that one, you'de probably ruin it for me.
4. I am an Art fan and I love the "Flashing Lights" video where Kanye gets shoveled to death at the end... BUT... c'mon. Can we have a normal video that we can see on MTV? Like maybe Kanye in a hotel room while "she's in the mirror dancing so sleazy?" And then He gets the call from wifey like "Where are you Yeezy?" Then him and the model go to a vegas club, (since he seems to love the dessert so much), where there are actual FLASHING LIGHTS. And then maybe wifey can come and murk Kanye and the other model off, since he seems to need some sort of suffering in the videos for this song. Ah, it could have been done better.
I'm not hating, the concept was cool, but I feel it was unnecessary. It makes sense with the last verse of the song, yes Andre, I agree that it does. It does show things getting really low for a girl who is not necessarily leaving a good lifestyle... but I am tired of women being subjected to abuse as a result of being vulnerable. In a real world situation don't you think the girl would have taken a cab home and it would have dropped her off right in front of her house? Or maybe the driver that took her in the first place? Hmmm, maybe these broads don't use drivers, cause los Lindsays and Parises have money for drivers and don't use them. But anyway it's just honestly a cliche' extreme low for a woman and it really isn't that common in New York City anymore, people are actually out on the streets... It isn't 92'. Maybe I'm being ignorant to the abuse of women, but I don't want to be the victim anymore. And as a female, I'm tired of male directors and artists alike representing women as exactly that constantly.
But, then again..."This "Second version" was made before the "first" one and never got an OK from Kanye to be released. With that said, if you think it's shitty, you were not supposed to see it."

Kanye is a wanna be... just like his production... he now bites video concepts, then comes out with some wack FIRST video and calls it art.. and then his original gets leaked and says it wasnt authorized... now THAT is bullshit... listen to the song and you know the rape makes lots of sense... what was that Jigga line about listening to music or just skimming through it and fools??? fyi "I wonder" is a left over track from "late registration" but without the synths... and it was supposed to be the intro to "gone" video but never saw the light of day... that is until you know people working at Roc-a-fella video department..
Andre stop leaving anonymous comments on my blog like you're some "Mysterio" .
PUT YOUR NAME ON THAT SHIT...(In my best Jigga Acapella ever.)
