What's Really Happening all Across America:

True Life: Im Addicted To Crystal Meth.
FULL SUMMARY
"Crystal meth is the most popular drug among young people in America, attracting more than 12 million people a year to try it. Highly addictive and cheap, Meth is a drug that wreaks havoc on its users, as well as lives of friends and family. Meth addicts quickly lose touch with reality and care about only one thing: their next fix. In this episode of True Life we meet several young people whose lives have been taken over by the drug and will explore the challenges they face trying to rid themselves of their addiction.

Ashlee, 21, lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and first tried crystal meth at the age of 14. She and boyfriend Brandon lived with her parents until a falling out split them up. With her life spinning out of control, Ashlee binges every few hours for days at a time and moves in with her friend, Paula, whose boyfriend has left and taken her children because of her drug use.

When their stash runs low, a desperate Paula takes to selling her body for any drugs she can get her hands on, even if she's unsure of what they are. After watching Paula's addiction get the best of her, Ashlee begs her mom to let her come home. Although they bump heads initially, they are eventually able to find common ground once Ashlee proves she can remain meth free. Ashlee's mother even allows Brandon to move back into the house so that the youngcouple can restart their relationship clean and sober.

Bryan, 27, has been living for nearly a year in Santa Barbara, Calif., with his 19-year-old fiance Jessica. Bryan has been using crystal meth every day in "mass amounts" for the past three years and has finally received an ultimatum from Jessica: either he gets sober, gets a sponsor and gets a job or they're finished.

When Jessica forces him out of the house until he's back on the straight and narrow, it's not long before Bryan resorts to buying $100 dollars worth of meth. Quickly realizing the error of his ways, he flushes his drugs down the toilet, turning instead to coffee as his new legal vice. Bryan is eventually successful in finding a sponsor, and soon after applies for a job with the city as a parks supervisor.

After a week of sobriety Bryan is able to test negative for crystal meth and is welcomed back into his home by his fiance. Ironically, after five weeks of sobriety, Jessica, who has now decided she wants to hold off on marriage, is the one who falls back into her old drug habits. Bryan stands by her as she tries to kick, but weeks later Jessica admits she's been doing cocaine and cheating on Bryan with her dealer. Although he admits he would have never quit crystal meth without Jessica's ultimatum, the two break up, but remain friends. Now fully sober, Bryan comes to the realization that crystal meth stopped him from living his life.

No, I myself have never used Crystal Meth or any other drug besides Ganja... Nor do I encourage anyone else to try any drug. All Drugs are addictive, including coffee, liquor, and tabacco.
