After hearing her US single "American Boy" for the first time, the first thing that ran through my mind was " I wonder if she's white cause every new UK soul act, out right now has blond hair." And to my pleasant surprise she was actually a black woman. No, I am not black nor a racist, but it's nice to see her get some recognition in the Soul genre because she is of a race that originated that type of music. Good Luck Girl...
