I was reading a new blogging buddy's blog recently and it made me start to think about putting people on to new shit. He can be read at hiphopisdeadly.wordpress.com
Im going to start doing it more freely also. I used to not do it that much cause people start to copy your steez and your taste in shit, without giving you props.
But now I realize that it don't matter, they know for themselves how unoriginal they are. I'll be on to the next thing while they're still playing Catch Up, bitches...
So here's something new Im currently loving:
I've know B!G J through the Internet for awhile now. He's the coolest producer I've ever met, maybe cause he hasn't blown yet; but who knows?
Anyway he was ready and willing to send me tracks when I asked, and I liked that because every other artist swears they're so good ,that someone would waste time steeling their tracks.
So a lot of the underground artists I like, make it impossible for you to get a hard copy of their music.
Yet J isn't like that. Even though he has LEGENDARY Skills at this thing we call Production.
His rhyming ain't bad either, and his flow is pretty much always on the money.
He trails along the same path as the DangerMouses and JDillas of our time by blending fundamental hip-hop elements with futuristic sounds and dark melodic beats.
Epic shit, no lies.
So recently he started a group with a friend of his and they're called Heroes For Higher.(GENIUS! Peep the comic.) And as a common stoner, I appreciate the word spin.
Together they've created this track called
Zonin'
Oh man, it's too good right? The Perfect Mix of Life's A Bitch and Who's World Is This.
Your gonna Blow John Cage, Your Gonna Blow!
See Heroes For Higher Here and B!g Jay is Here.
